Marianne Floreal 2019
2019
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Marianne Wine Estate is nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg mountain, in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands. This boutique winery of 26ha of vines produces a wide range of premium wines, namely, rosé, white and red with beautiful aging potential. The property was purchased in 2004 by French businessman Christian Dauriac. The wines are the perfect reflection of what the farm represents: a blend of French Savoir-faire and South African terroir. The Marianne Floreal 2019 shows a deep carmine, red colour when poured into the glass. The nose is multilayered and complex, with top notes of black berry, cacao, star anise and burnt orange peel. With a swirl in the glass, aromas of blue berries, black currant vanilla pod and red peppercorns fill the nose. The palate is dense and silky, with a round, savoury mid and a refined, textured finish. A red wine which can be enjoyed now in all its multilayered complexity, but also a wine which can age gracefully.
