Oude Compagnies Post is proud to be owned by the Swanepoel family, who sell their fine wines under the brands ‘Compagnies Wijn’ and ‘Swanepoel’. Since 2018, the Tulbagh based winery has been under the management of Dirk Swanepoel, the youngest son of the family, who has perfected his winemaking craft in, among other places, the renowned Sonoma County in California. The Swanepoel Mourvedré 2021 shows aromas of blue fruits and violets with a wild Fynbos undertone. The fine-grained tannins ensure a long-lasting aftertaste. Serve this red wine with a slice of peppered beef on bruschetta or game meats such as springbuck carpaccio.
