Hermann Gebers bought the farm in 1981 in the picturesque area between the towns of Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Situated on a ridge, the Post House Winery offers panoramic views of Cape Point, False Bay and the surrounding Helderberg Mountains. As the Homestead had originally operated as the Helderberg Post Office in the early 1900s, it was a logical step to associate the wine with its postal origin. The Post House Black Mail Merlot from the 2021 vintage showcases a meticulous dedication to quality and craft. This Merlot is a testament to the vineyard’s commitment to producing a profoundly satisfying and complex red wine, well-suited for aging.
