Bruce Jack Mary Le Bow Viognier 2019
Bruce Jack is arguably one of most experienced winemakers in South Africa. He has produced the Bruce Jack Mary Le Bow Viognier 2019 using grapes from the Frater Family Vineyards near Ashton. This white wine is a blend of 85% Viognier and 15% Chenin Blanc. It has an aromatic nose, bursting with apple blossom and orange zest. On the palate, a mouthful of ripe mandarin, lime zest, peaches and cream with a twist of ginger. A subtle, sophisticated and delicate wine.
Creamy, aromatic curries like kormas or spicy Thai/Indonesian dishes work amazingly well. This is a bold wine, with huge aromatics and creamy texture. Try shell fish like lobster on the BBQ with a mayonnaise sauce, or potato bake with bacon bits, coriander and hollandaise.
