German Beers

Home to the world’s largest beer festival, Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany is a mecca for many beer-lovers. German beer is brewed strictly according to the Reinheitsgebot, which only permits water, hops and malt as ingredients, and stipulates that beers not using only barley-malt (such as wheat beers) must be top fermented. Wheat beers and pale beers (including Kölsch) are popular German additions to the world of beer.
