Made from 80% corn, this style of American whiskey has its roots as cheap ‘moonshine’ made by the poorest farmers. Today, corn whiskey is going through a renaissance, as bartenders use this drink to add character to their cocktails. The packaging is quirky and cultish, playing up corn whiskey’s hooch history. Corn whiskey needs no aging at all, but if it is aged, it must be in previously used oak barrels.
